The ECAD family of systems are at work in numerous nuclear and conventional power plants in around the world. ECAD excels in troubleshooting nuclear instrumentation where very low level pulses and signals can get lost in high resistance connections or open circuits. With information gathered outside the hostile environment of a reactor enclosure, a determination of circuit integrity can be made. This facilitates maintenance planning and eliminates the risk of radiation to plant personnel.

CM Technologies has an extensive database of nuclear instrumentation from all of the major domestic nuclear steam supply system suppliers; Westinghouse, General Electric, Combustion Engineering, and Babcock & Wilcox.

At many sites, the ECAD has become an integral part of the plant's maintenance program. The ECAD is used to trend 3-phase induction motor electrical balance and to monitor vital power cable insulation quality.
